Security Practices
Security is part of every build
How sites get hardened
Customer trust comes first
Every WordPress site starts with the same baseline: current core, themes, and plugins, strong access controls, and no unnecessary attack surface. Security isn't a checkbox added at the end it's part of how the site gets built.
Hardening that goes beyond the default install
A stock WordPress install is a starting point, not a finished product. I lock down file permissions, restrict login attempts, disable unused features, and configure a firewall so common attack vectors are closed before they're ever tested.
Our Commitment to Security
Ongoing security work, whether a one-time hardening pass or part of a maintenance retainer, typically includes:
-
Regular WordPress core, theme & plugin updates, tested before they go live.
-
Firewall and malware protection with Wordfence, tuned to the specific site.
-
Scheduled backups, so a bad update or intrusion is always recoverable.
None of this replaces good judgment, strong passwords, limited admin access, and knowing what's installed on a site matter just as much as any single tool.
Transparency & trust
If something goes wrong, you'll hear about it directly from me, what happened, what was affected, and what's being done about it. No dashboards, no support tickets routed to a third party.
Backups & recovery
Sites get scheduled backups stored off-server, so a compromised plugin, bad update, or hosting failure doesn't mean starting from zero. Recovery is tested, not just assumed to work.
